Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung released a statement on her microblog yesterday, to refute recent media reports stating that she has demanded for an increase in alimony from her ex-husband Nicholas Tse.
In the statement, Cecilia emphasised that she has been financially independent ever since her divorce more than two years ago. She wrote: 'I have never received any alimony. Nicholas is only responsible for the living expenses of our two sons (Lucas and Quintus).'
In addition, the 33-year-old mentioned that she has singlehandedly provided for her parents over the past decade, and that she co-owns the apartment located in Stanley, Chung Hom Kok with Nicholas.
Cecilia's manager also said that Cecilia will be seeking legal advice regarding the reports which have 'severely affected' the lives of the actress and her sons.
